My family is going to be relocated to CC and my job is at the airport. We are not going to have much time to come down and look around. I would like to be less than a half hour from the airport. Where should I start looking? We have a son who is 8 and currently goes to Catholic grade school. I am not against public education as long as it is a quality district.

Well, you can get *anywhere* in Corpus Christi in 20-ish minutes anyway, but if you want a highly desirable public school district, I'd suggest Calallen Calallen Independent School District (78410 zip code) or Tuloso-Midway http://www.tmisd.esc2.net/ (78409) which are both a 5-10 minute commute. There's also a private Christian school Arlington Heights Christian School - Corpus Christi Texas in the 78409 area. Good luck on whatever you end up deciding.

Might also want to consider the London school district. Not too far from the airport (but as C.M. stated, nothing is!), and not too far from the new Catholic high school (JP II), a Catholic middle school (Bishop Garriga), and a Catholic grade school (Most Precious Blood) should you choose to go that route.

I saw this house the other day. I was thinking about adding another rental property to my investments. It's about 5-7 minutes from the airport in the Tuloso-Midway school district. Not too bad, it's a foreclosure, but very clean and neat on a very big lot, and can probably be had for about $100K if you need a starter home.
