Recruiter paid for my airfare, hotel, rental car, to fly to Corpus and tour the facilities in Kingsville, Beeville, and Alice. From my research, i think i may choose Kingsville. Any feedback would be welcome. I just cant wait to touch down on Texas soil again. Happy tears! I will be a resident of Texas again real soon!

Lots of history in Kingsville. Is the Brownwood deal dead?

Got it.

I'm an optimist at heart, but when it comes to appealing job packages it is buyer beware. Keep an eye out for hidden problems. There may be a reason why the company has to offer such a great package to lure folks to a job. Hopefully that is not the case with your search. Best of luck.

Rick

I think they find it hard to recruit to the South Texas area without offering major incentives because there isn't much for those that may not appreciate the laid back lifestyle there. There's limited shopping and other entertainment facilities and although Houston and San Antonio are a couple of hours away, not everyone cares to commute that distance. Just my opinion. Personally I'd move there in a heartbeat if I got the same package I have now.

Sunshine, you may as well be a sow for you'll be in pig heaven if that's your wish list!
There's more hunting (after all DC did shoot his buddy in the face just down the road from Kingsville), Fishing (The gulf is 30 minutes away max and lots of rivers and lakes are closer) and cowboys (The Kingsville ranch which I understand is the largest working ranch in the country, if not the world)than you could shake a stick at!
