Default Holiday Inn Emerald Beach Corpus Christi?

anyone know what the hotel is like? that is where they put me up for 3 days when i tour prospective employers in Kingsville, Alice, and Beeville.
I have been granted one "beach day" when I arrive early in the a.m. in Corpus. I have been given a rental car. What are the MUST SEE things on my short trip? I am SOOOOO excited! This may be my new Texas home!

The HI in CC is probably excellent. Most of them in vacations areas in Texas are.Try and go to Port Aransas/Mustang Island on your beach day.It is a better beach than in CC and has some excellent seafood restaraunts. The big piers and jetties in CC are cool too.

I'd go out to Mustang Island too, but the Holiday Inn has it's own private beach too which isn't too shabby. They did bring in the sand by the truckloads after all.
