Actually our younter daughter and her husband chartered one for his 50th BD not long ago. They really didn't think it was worth the money and it is very expensive. Our granddaughter and her husband Now if you can find one of the small ships, that do use sails and hold about 50 to 100 people that might be different. The problem our granddauther and hubby had was those sailing with them. No, it wasn't a bad experience, but they did spend 7 days, in very close contact with 12 people they had nothing in common with

If you want to get more ideas I would suggest you go to CruiseCritic website and check out small ships. One company that is outstanding, but again, very expensive is SeaDream. They have 2 or 3 ships. I have never heard a bad word about their product.

I took a cruise on a Windstar ship. They have sails but can also use engine power. Best vacation ever, I can't wait to sail with them again.
