21 days and, yes, it was our usual inside cabin.

We were definitely ready to go home.

like JK, we had an inside cabin on our longest cruise: it was 14 days and yes, we were glad when we disembarked. It was a good cruise, wasn't crazy over the passengers, a little to snobbish for me and the inside cabin would have been ok for a 7 night cruise but not 2 weeks.

For us, the ideal cruise is 10 to 12 days; outside cabin. Yes, balconies are great but we can live without them; just don't coup us up for too long. for a new cruiser ideal cruising time would be about 7 days, no shorter than 5.

I've taken two 30-day cruises. The first one was a round-trip cruise out of San Diego that went to Hawaii, spent a week or so sailing around the Hawaiian Islands, then sailed south to French Polynesia, spent a week sailing around Tahiti, Bora Bora, and the other islands of French Polynesia, before finally heading back up to San Diego.

The second 30-day cruise departed from Los Angeles and went to Central & South America, sailing around Cape Horn, and ending in Brazil. We had port stops in Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Uruguay, and of course, Brazil. After the cruise, we spent another week in Brazil before flying home from Rio.

Over the last 8-years, we've taken about 8-9 cruises, including two 30-day Mediterranean cruises (one a repositioning cruise from Ft. Launderdale with a 5-6-day crossing). In both cases, we added days at the departure or disembarkation site (Athens, Amsterdam, Vancouver). By the end, we were ready to go home. (We've also taken some 2+ week cruises to Hawaii and Alaska).

We'll probably try a couple of 2-week river cruises in Europe, but, otherwise, we are about 'cruised-out' (particularly in the Caribbean, since we live in Florida. IMO, anything longer than 30-days would really start to get redundant. Even on 30-day cruise, the lines tend to combine legs and repeat shows, etc.

Our longest was 21 days and I enjoyed every day. It was booked as a single cruise but was actually a 10 day and an 11 day back to back - an Eastern Caribbean followed by a Southern Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale. I wanted to go to Curacao and Bonaire and this was a great way to celebrate our retirement and get out of the last winter before we moved full time to SW Florida. I could have stayed on board for another 21 days.

Those cruises sound amazing! I would love to take a long cruise. I have always been interested in taking a 115 day world cruise. But unfortunately the wife isn't having any of that . She says that she will miss our pet too much so I think the most I can push her for is a 2 week cruise. As of now all of our cruises have been for 7 days.
