Hi,

We are booked for my parents 25th anniversary cruise with Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Sea boat. We are going to have about 40 people in our group. Does anyone know how I reserve an area in a restaurant to have everyone seated together for dinner? Having 40 people and being organized is going to be an adventure. We are hoping to have 2 dinners with everyone all together for our 7 day cruise. I've read online that parties were scattered if it was more then 5 people - hoping to avoid this.

Has anyone done this? If so, what was the process to reserve an area for your party? Is there any cost to do this?

Thanks for any help!

Seriously- call the cruise line! Procedures may be different for each line and each ship. Whatever you arrange on the phone, demand that they send you written confirmation via email.

Be aware that (usually? Always?) The largest tables seat ten. Be aware that the cruise line may not allow you to make reservations before boarding. Be aware that your plan may not be possible.

Iíve reached out to the cruise line and are waiting to hear back. I wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with a large party with Royal Caribbean & to hear their personal experiences.

The Ships Cruise Director is in charge of Group Dinners. The staff member will work in unison with the Food/Beverage Director to accommodate the parties. Yes its rather common for ships to have "Group" parties...for anniversaries, reunions, Birthdays..and even Weddings..... I'm sure they are versed at this...

Sure, sign a contract...I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that they will charge you extra for the contract verses saying...Can you simply arrange seating for 40 at this time, and we'll order off the menu. One is complicating it,the other is accommodating it
