One question as I'm getting conflicting answers. We have the Ultimate drink package, but it does not include bottled water. I saw on NCL's website that you can bring sealed bottled water onboard, but others here are saying no? Can we or can't we? Also, does anyone know how limiting the drink package is? Besides what you can and can't have and limit of $15 per drink, is there anything else I should know?
glad you were successful; we are 10 days out, ship is sold out so not holding my breath on getting upgraded.
As far as I know unless they have changed it in the past few weeks, you can not bring water, sealed or not on the ship As for drinks, other than the $15 limit there are no other limits. Check the menu closely as NCL jsut raised their drink prices and a lot of the "used to be under $15" drinks are higher now. YOu can pay the difference, but we have always found something with in the guide lines that work for us. Some lines do limit the number of drinks, NCL does not.

Have a great cruise.

As of 2016, they don't allow passengers to bring any beverages on-board. It's on the website.

Isn't there also a 20% gratuity based on the value of that perk of the Ultimate Alcohol package? Maybe that's paid for upfront with the cruise fare?

It is charged at the time of booking if you choose the drink package. I just look at it this way, I would be tipping one way or the other so might as well do it before boarding. What I am having trouble with is the new drink policy with so few choices under the $15 limit. I can live with it as there are still brands that we are ok with but I still think it has gotten out of hand. In the past few years we have always been able to get the drink package as a perk. so it doesn't sting quite as much

What has been your experience with this cruise line and would you recommend over other cruise lines? How are their staterooms, dining, entertainment, etc. Thanks!
Whatever you do, avoid the Epic bathroom cabins. Do a google search, they are horrible in my opinion.

Yes this is very true. Nothing can be brought on.

First of all, many people actually like the cabins. The only part that would be a problem would be families travel with kids or 2 people traveling together that are not really well acquainted. Otherwise they are fine. We are not lovers of the Epic, but certainly not for that reason. If you read Cruise Critic the bathrooms are a big issue; it is a love/hate situation for sure.

As for avoiding them, it is a little to late to give the poster advise. They are cruising in less than a week.
