OASIS of the SEAS

Thinking about taking a vacation on this cruise. It's a massive ship, going to be the largest cruise ship in the world with over 5,000 passengers - any experts here to comment on the safety of such a vessel? Personal opinions welcome too!

Can you imagine if there is some sort of catastrophe at sea? Trying to get 7500 souls off of that ship? And days in port should be quite a hoot--with everyone trying to shop, get cabs, etc....
And look how top-heavy it will be....I'm holding off on this one, for quite awhile! Let's see how it goes!

The main problem with ships this size is the crowding. You cram all those people, the size of a small town, onto the larger ships and it's a zoo wherever you go. On the ship it's chaos, and getting off the ship and onto tours is equally as bad. Lots of pushing, shoving and I'm more important than you attitudes.
More and more cruisers, like us, are now going only on the smaller, under 2000 souls, ships where you have lots of room and more personal services.
Enjoy your cruise, just keep what I said in mind. Report back your experiences when you return.
