Well, I'm not old but need help.

We are skipping Christmas this year since my mom passed away last year and my two older children are off in the military...it's just me and my teenager.

Anyone know of a cheap cruise for Christmas? Anyplace warm and we can fly out of here to any port in the US pretty much but the eastern seaboard would be best.

We'd like to do 5-7 nights and get a room with a window or balcony(since we'll be there a while-we usually just get tiny closets to sleep in for cheap)

Keep me in mind if you happen to cross something or please post if you know of something.

Thanks!

Oh, military and prior Carnival - only two discounts I could have.

Here are some really good ones:

Celebrity Caribbean/Bahamas, 7 days $1100pp window / $1500 pp balcony San Juan, Puerto Rico RT

Celebrity Eastern Caribbean, 7 days $1750 pp window/$1850 pp balcony Ft. Lauderdale RT. (This one is more expensive because it's a brand-new ship.)

Princess Southern Caribbean 7 days $1120 pp window/$1490 pp balcony San Juan, Puerto Rico RT

Princess Western Caribbean 7 days $1120 pp window/$1490 pp balcony Ft. Lauderdale RT

Princess Eastern Caribbean 7 days $1120 pp window/$1490 pp balcony Ft. Lauderdale RT.

Also check out this Costa cruise (you must call for the price, though).

Out of New York City! Norwegian 7 day Bahamas on a new ship $1080 pp window/ $1535 pp balcony

Since Im in Houston, I would go out of Galveston check out Vacations to Go....even if you dont go out of Galveston, I find them to have the lowest prices on cruises...

You can get a balcony on the Carnival Conquest Dec 20th sailing for $1049. or drop down to a oceanview for $849.

Or, you could fly further to Miami and cut the price about $200 for cabins..

I love cruising and cant wait till I quit work so that I can cruise over the Christmas holidays!!! Dot

Go to all the cruiseline's websites and sign up for their email specials. You'll get emails that say "today only" or "72 hour sale". Those sales are very good and you have time. Most of the cruiselines guarantee that if the rate goes down you will only have to call them to get the lower rate. Vacations To Go is a great site with good deals, but I've found that when I see them on that website I can usually call the cruiseline direct and get the same or better price and I feel they will stand behind it more than a second party.

Agree with DotLib.

We've sailed out of Galveston to the Caribbean and it was enjoyable and good value.
