Peace be on you. On 25 May, 2013, the visiting Ahmadiyya Khalifah was met by various dignitaries and holds media conference in Baitun Nur Mosque, Calgary, Canada. He talked about various issues including the means to tackle rising extremism and developing peaceful cohesive society.
He said:

“It is a dire need of the time to respond to all forms of fanaticism and extremism with Islam’s true message of peace and harmony.”

The Mayor of Calgary said that Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Calgary is:

“a community who serves our city each and every day.”

The high Police officials said the meeting was amazing.
The Member of Parliament condemned the persecution of Ahmadiyya Muslims. He said religious rights and freedom of all peaceful communities should be protected.
Eight media organization, including ‘CTV’ and the ‘Calgary Herald’ attended a media conference in which Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad answered their questions. He also said that their message of peace and unity is not given in response to any recent act of terrorism, rather the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat had promoted this message since its inception in 1889.
The media conference ended with message of Hazrat Khalifah of Promised Messiah Mahdi:
