They're ruled a few things out, like a brain tumor or a stroke. I hope they find out what's wrong.

I'd just like to comment on how unfairly villified Tereza was during Kerry's campaign for President. She got a lot of bad press, just because she inherited a fortune. I couldn't help noticing at the time that none of the media reports in this vein ever researched what her charitable work actually did. Those critical of her weren't interested in facts, just baseless attacks.

According to a thorough biography of her published in The New Yorker magazine, when Tereza was a highschool student in South Africa, she marched against apartheid and participated in demonstrations outside police precincts where some of her classmates were jailed. When she came to the US, she hit the ground running, and began fundraising for the Civil Rights movement. Her charitable foundation involves providing grants for health care to individuals who don't have insurance or who can't afford insurance/Medicare co-pays, among other projects.

Someone like that would have been valuable to have as First Lady, IMO. And John Kerry himself created a legal aid project for minorities when he was a lawyer, funding it with grants. He has done a lot to help Native Americans in his home state, and has a pro-Native American voting record in Congress. It's too bad so little information about this couple was released to the public. They're an extraordinary couple, in some respects. Our country needs more people like them in leadership positions.
