Well....this should put to rest some of the rumors that Walmart doesn't provide their employees with health care coverage. I work for them and I know better so it aggravates me that it is still being bandied about as being 'true'. Nope. I think people would be very surprised at the bennies Walmart employees actually do get.

That what kills me, as some are so wrapped in their naivness or hetrosexism that think Walmart is doing some thing new but companies and various government bodies across the US have been offering domestic partner benefits for years. It just Walmart finally jumped on board.

I'm HR in the medical field. Our company has been extending benefits to domestic partners for years. Note than in the state of Texas gay marriage is against the state constitution IIRC.
