CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

A couple says their dog sniffed out a baby abuser in their home, the woman who was supposed to be caring for their seven-month-old son.
Quote:
"About five months into her being our baby sitter, we started to notice that our dog was very protective of our son when she would come in the door," Jordan said. "He was very aggressive towards her and a few times we actually had to physically restrain our dog from going towards her."

Thanks to their dog, Killian, the now-suspicious parents had a plan.

Hope suggested they place an iPhone under the couch and let the phone record what happens while they were at work.

Thank God that hideous piece of garbage got caught and is going to jail, though I wouldn't mind if she got the death penalty instead.

I had a dog like that.....it was a stray but we had her for 5-6 years before the first kid was born. She started sleeping under the crib the first night the baby came home, she was a very personable dog but not aggressive but she was like super guard dog around that baby! Sometimes animals have an extra sense about things!

I can't imagine hitting a child that young, I'm afraid to hold my new born nephew, but smacking a kid around like that...I don't get it.

Dogs are wonderful creatures. So glad the owners paid attention to this dog.

When I was young I made it a practice to introduce my dates to my dogs.
Too bad the dog that would have saved me from a disastrous marriage had died before I met that guy.

Makes me wonder about my neighbors new boyfriend. The dogs go wacko when the guy comes, like trying to bite him. Normally when anyone comes or other dogs walk by they go grab their toys, stand at the fence looking cute. I thought it was because the guy rode a very loud bike but even now with his truck they still go insane and have to be held away from him.

Good to see they stay on top of things.
