I agree JASPER12,,, I think it was great but out of place and timing.. It sweet yes-,, but should have been VERY private, something addressed to him alone... Please folks don't do this to your loved ones,,, love before you GO!
I don't blame the first wife, she was dying and probably medicated maybe in pain--- but I feel for the entire family now the wound is reopened. It will feel aful for a while guilt may come in. sigh

Nice thought but I agree - it's creepy, and if I was the new wife I would not feel comfortable about it. These days leading to her wedding and her new life should be HERS - she is the bride and it's her time.

It seems overly dramatic. I personally would prefer something a LOT more private - like a letter to him alone, for the friend to give him, and for him to decide whether or not to share it with his bride to be - also in private. The two people who are the most emotionally impacted by this had no choice in how this was displayed publicly. I just think that's weird. Sorry.

I agree it was creepy. Indiscreet and tacky to display it publicly and get the husband all upset like that. Presumptuous and imposing of the dead wife to send a separate letter to the fiance. Threatening because the husband obviously believes his dead wife's ghost is watching over them either approving or disapproving of all their actions. I wonder how long that new relationship will last with the spectre of the dead wife hanging over them? I feel sorry for the fiance, now she'll be left wondering if the husband wanted to marry her for herself or merely to provide another caregiver for his children while his wife's ghost looks on. I think the wife's friend who was entrusted with the letters should have just left things alone and minded her own business.

.

I thought this was a great story when I saw it on TV before the holiday.
