I just noticed that Mtn. States Resident is now an eternal member. While I never talked to her, I enjoyed her participation in this thread.

My sympathies to all her knew her...she will be missed.
I've been reading through this thread & was wondering what qualified one to be an eternal member.
How sad. MSR was so welcoming & polite in her responses.

Farewell Mtn States Resident, RIP.

Now that would make for a happy ending if every dollar won from their appalling behaviour, - from enabling her obesity, to the grandmothers obnoxious actions after surgery, to keeping her 'alive' in that condition, to the grandfathers comment early on about not wanting "chump change" - went straight to paying for the girls care.

Feeding the girl solid food straight after surgery is what killed her. Then to use suction, unbelievable. It's a pity that the grandmother can't be charged with manslaughter.

(Appreciate your comments throughout the thread Suzy)

Looks like this debate has being rekindled in Texas. I started a new thread in this forum.

I think foxyknoxy is referring to the original poster of this thread, Mtn. States Resident. Mtn. States Resident passed away a while ago I believe, I read something about it somewhere, maybe somewhere in this thread.

Anyhow the family probably realized they have zero basis for a case. They might have settled for the max allowed in California for dead individuals, $250K.

Of course. I read "OP" as the child in the OP.

Yes. I have 40 posts per page showing, Rankin's post on 7-03-2018 was pretty close to the top of my page

Hopefully she's welcomed the young girl to heaven. I have a feeling the young girl was already there waiting on MSR.

Adios to you both.
