Is it just me, or does Obama have a few more pressing issues to deal with at home before he preaches to the neighbors on how to clean their backyards?

Obama & Kerry just need to walk away from this. Going through the motions and wasting their time on an issue where every other country on the planet knows its a waste of time. We've already learned from decades of negotiations that whatever the Israeli's concede too, the PA adds something else to the list of what more they want. What has the PA conceded too in all these years? Nothing.

Israel is a big part of the problem. If they would stop building settlements on the West Bank, the Palestinians would be more likely to come to a deal. Building settlements is simply a way of stealing territory meant for the future Palestinian state. Its hard to take Netanyahu seriously when he continues to allow this to go on.

I am not saying Israel is solely responsible for these difficulties. I am saying it takes "two to tango" and neither side wants to get up and dance.

Actually Israel isn't the problem. No matter how much land you give to the Palestinians it will never suffice. Israel has given land for peace in the past and no peace has come from it.

I wish Netanyahu would push back some of the $6 Billion in U.S. taxdollars that his country receives every year.

In addition to Israel already conceding significant land from their 1948/1967 boundary agreements, Israel has continued to be bombed at will by the radical Palestinian elements. Now, with Israel (not the U.S.) facing 'promised/threatened' annihilation by Iran, Syria and others ... the U.S. foreign policy everywhere has seemingly become: "Talk softly and carry a big marshmallow!" Israel probably senses that the U.S. Administration is 'throwing them under the bus' as it engages in political posturing, rather than a substantive foreign policy.

Well, they conceded that Israel should have a right to exist and that some Israeli settlements should be able to remain under Israeli rule.

Did the PA concede enough (yet)? No, IMHO.

1. You have a partial (but not a complete) point here. Honestly, I don't see much of a deal with Israeli building in areas in the West Bank which it expects to keep in a final peace treaty. In other areas, Yes, Israel should probably stop building there.

2. I am not going to say whether or not you are correct on this, because I simply don't know for sure.
