That's correct. I never meant to insinuate otherwise. Most media and governments simply give opinions they want you to believe; not necessarily the truth of the matter. I wouldn't trust any of them as far as I could throw them. Left handed. Into the wind. Just offering another opinion in my post.

Yeah, I'm with you. Most of us just want the truth. I just question why we are so all up in Russia's business. After all if we look at history it was Krustrieve who gave Crimea to Ukraine. Crimea was originally part of Russia to begin with. Well, at least Russia didn't ask for a refund to get Alaska back. After all, it was also part of Russia. Sitka, AK is America's property now.

Yes, Crimea has been a part of Russia since the 1600s. For centuries it was the jewel of Russia. Someone needs to tell this to Mr. McCain, Mr. Kerry, and Mr. Obama. All they have done is cause bad relations between the US and Russia, a country who is a great ally of ours. Not to mention that Obama's handling of the Olympic games was almost as bad as Jimmy Carter's boycott of the Moscow Olympics in 1980.

No, U.S. Drones Weren't Shot Down Over Crimea | Popular Science

Russian media has a reputation of being less than objective and truthful. But even if a drone was shot down, so what? They are not using stealth technology and nothing is invisible. Stealth only makes the craft very hard to see. Also, drones usually have a backup fighter escort just in case they are spotted and an attempt is made to shoot them down from what I remember. And who really believes that we would go to war with Russia? Another cold war maybe but nothing more than that.

Oh I don't know. Maybe it's time to head for the hills and visit a Prepper thread (Do you have room in your yard for a tent?)

Perhaps Clinton is available. Compare Clinton`s success in Kosovo with Gomer`s failure in Iraq. While we`re at it, how many casualties did we take to get rid of Gadhafi?

Good questions. Attacking Russia might not be the brightest plan when we're slashing our military at the same time.

Some seem to think war against Russia would be just like Afghanistan.

This is common practice. Why does it shock anyone? It is done all the time, sending aircraft for intelligence gathering. Now it's drones more. Since the 1970's ... how is it news now?

Is that some kind of weird joke?

You do know that we and the Russians have a massive nuclear force, don't you? That we could effectively wipe out the country of Russia as a viable political entity with the contents of one Trident submarine?

Even if the two nuclear forces suddenly disappeared by an act of God, we still have more money sinking into our military than Russia, China, AND the EU combined. Even with small cutbacks.

You tax-and-spend conservatives simply want to expand the govt by STEALING tax money from hard-working citizens and giving it to the lazy, do-nothing military.
