I don't see what's "botched" about it. And there's little practical difference between a heart attack and the injection stopping the heart.

The execution was not botched.

Is he dead? If so then the execution was not botched.

Exactly. That third drug is supposed to stop the heart. Sounds like it worked!

One to put him to sleep, the other to stop the heart. Apparently, whatever they gave him exploded a vein and gave him a heart attack.

Most of which are by gunshot. Ironic isn't it? We apparently need the death penalty to try to mitigate the damage done by all the guns in this country.

No, they won't. Executions, or the fear of execution doesn't stop anyone from killing another human being. The death penalty is a punishment, not a deterrent.

What makes you think anyone is NOT afraid when they face the needle, or chair, or gas chamber?

Ask me if I care - I don't. In spite of the fact it took him 30 minutes to die it was probably more merciful than his victim's death.

Yes, when I first heard this, I felt bad for him...but then when I heard what his crime was, I stopped feeling any sympathy, he deserved fear and pain and it wasn't even close to what his victim suffered.
