What do you mean it didn't get much attention, it was all over the news.

Go and look at any worthwhile news site for February 25th 2014. Perhaps you missed it, some of us did not.

29 Boys Killed as Boko Haram Attacks Boarding School in Nigeria - NBC News

Boko Haram Islamic militants storm Nigeria boarding school, kill 29 children - CBS News

And so on.

What point are you trying to make?

So I guess it's understandable that the media have focused their attention elsewhere.
North American media gives very little coverage to real global news; much of it has turned into tabloid journalism.

I watch Al Jazeera network or BBC news to even begin to get an idea of what is really going on in the world, outside of some meaningless spat between an 80-year-old egoist and his 30-year-old gold-digger mistress.

That's a terrible attitude to have about other human beings.

What's really sad is the we, the US, would probably intervene if Boko Haram was controlling oil fields in Nigeria. Human trafficking not so much.

I suppose you'll care when these girls start ending up in American brothels contracting AIDS and getting healthcare at taxpayer expense after getting a T visa and wasting more taxpayer money either for a trafficking case or deportation or both; if they are ever found that is.

Brothels want the hot Asian or Russian girls....not some Nigerian.

Besides....the terrorists aren't murdering them....they are marrying them off. They probably would live no worse a life being married to some muslim with lots of cattle then some guy who spends his day sending out spam emails promising to share $389mUSD found in a suitcase.
