It's a word around here.

But so is "Caddiewhompus" and on occasion I will hear the word "antigoglin".

Also obama is used. As in, I drank a whole six pack obama self.

But it's open season on the English language out there. This week we saw a recently arrested college quarterback (and therefore a high school graduate) tweet us that "everythang gone be good". I doubt that, but it is what he said.

OK, you've just gone overboard, because that just hurt my ears.

In Oregon, when another driver flips you the bird on the road it's a "California Howdy."

I get irritated by the incessant "How you doin'," so often reply "How do you do?" That is the origin of howdy.

My father used the word "skedaddle" on my siblings and me fairly frequently while we were growing up.

When he wanted us to hurry up and leave to do some sort of task, he would say, "Scram! Scoot!! Skedaddle!!!" It would get us running.

I haven't thought much about the word recently and can't say I actually use it myself. Maybe I should start using it with my kids.
