Of course you are.

So let's substantiate the funding part. The rest follows quite naturally. You quoted "Climate Central". I wonder where their money comes. Oh, here we go:

Quote:
Funding

Since its start in 2008, the following foundations, government agencies, and institutions have provided funding for Climate Central:

Funding is very very public troughy, isn't it? Yes, it is. And even many of the "Foundations" are government-centric, advocating public funding and public control in an effort to promote the envirofascist agenda. And of course the University sources are all linked to state funding.

It's all about getting grants and/or funneling tax dollars to private environmental foundations and corporations whose unfeasible and inefficient solutions would disappear without being propped up by expropriated wealth (read: taxes).

In fact, the entire climate change movement is a science welfare program. It could be termed AFDS - Aid to Families With Dependent Scientists.

In order to keep the money coming in, Armageddon needs always to be just around the corner.

So by your "reasoning" practically *all* science must be suspect?

Pssst, buddy "The Matrix" is for real - whelp gotta run - some tough dudes in suits and shades are coming.

I'm a registered Democrat, but I have sense enough to know that a Republican is not brain-dead or narrow-minded just because of not agreeing with some Progressive who spouts information as if he knows what others don't know. There is very little more ignorant than making broad blanket statements about the intellect of a large group of people.

The problem is so many "Progressives" are Millenials who haven't matured enough to stop calling everyone Stoooooopid

Part of their culture of entitlement and self-worth makes them view any disagreement with their opinions as Stoooooooopid because they are the Smartest Generation (at least in their dreams)

There is also this breaking news that is finally being noticed by the mainstream media.Which includes this excerpt-
"Finally, it seems, the MSM is beginning to wake up to something it really ought to have picked up on long ago: the greatest and most expensive scientific scandal in history, in which a cabal of lavishly grant-funded, activist-scientists from Britain to Australia, Germany to the US, has exaggerated the evidence for "man-made global warming" and attempted ruthlessly to suppress the work of sceptical scientists who dispute the "consensus.""

When the earth's history since the Cambrian explosion of life is viewed from a paleontological perspective the CO2 issue today pales in comparison.

I live on the Gulf Coast and witnessed tar balls washing up on shore as well as other evidence of oil along the coast.

Many people were affected by this disaster along the region along with the wildlife. We are still recovering from the BP oil spill and will be for a LONG time.

I guess because it didn't directly affect you, it was/is not considered a disaster.

I didn't say there were no problems. It simply was not the HORRIFIC disaster all the chicken little eco-freaks were saying it was going to be.

Just like they are saying now with Global Warming, Climate Change or whatever the Climate Name of the Week is.....

All science is suspect. The field of science is now debauched and corrupt. Especially when its funding comes from the public pig trough. Scientists are basically unemployed without the government these days. So they will say or do whatever it takes to keep the welfare money flowing. No different than any other progressives, really.

Do we still need science? We do, but today's scientists are horrific and philosophically bankrupt. So they have to be watched like hawks and not trusted without substantial investigation and due diligence. And it's not surprising. Where are they trained? At today's universities! The vast majority of which are overrun by the philosophies of determinism, utilitarianism, subjectivism, progressivism and collectivism, if not actual Marxism itself.

The Scientific Method has been repealed and replaced. By what? By the Political Scientific Method. Way more profitable...
