A woman's life in their culture is not valued as highly as a mans. To them, women were put on earth to serve her husband and before that, her male family members. Any deviation from what the men consider "proper", and they can best them. If they feel a woman has shamed the family in some way, then it is their duty to kill them. Nothing makes me more sick than reading about honor killings. It is a patriarchal world and we are just living in it.

I agree and I thank God I am not married to one of those men. It is a barbaric practice. No man has the right to treat a woman with anything but equality.

this is not a day and age of freedom. not in much of the world.
and even in american & canada where people think nothing bad can ever happen again, it can happen. genocide can happen in american and canada. pretending that it cant isnt doing anybody any favors. nothing has changed with regard to the history of conquest of nation over other nations. if america becomes weak, someone will come in and butcher us all.
