The mayor here in NYC is basically a socialist. What would help nyc the most is getting rid of all housing regulations. None of this affordable housing crap, rent stabilization, etc. it benefits the welfare / hand out society and hurts hard working (upper) middle class people. Why is anyone entitled to live in manhattan? I want to live in Monaco-should they be forced to give me housing I can afford?
Sorry, butt he way life works is people can choose to work hard to live in a nicer environment. This basically removes that possibility.
I thought that this wasn't the forum for "partisan jabs?"
I haven't lived in New York City for a long time, but when I did, the neighborhoods always seemed to be sort of a mixture. For example, there were hugely expensive apartments and co-ops and condos, and yet some buildings on the same block might be rent controlled.
