I agree but in today's world there is no good or evil any more -- many people want to think everything is in the dna -- you're born a certain way and have no choices about anything.

I think the psychopath-sociopath and NPD are really just labels for evil and bad people. They're not insane, they know exactly what they're doing.

Or if not then maybe its better not to answer them and possibly make things worse.
What makes you think I never tried to help them on that forum? They need professional care.

Where's the patronization? What makes you think that shining a light on a problem only makes it worse?

For your information, the poster to whom it was addressed told me I was correct.

Don't be so quick to stand on a soapbox and take a "holier than thou" attitude without knowing all of the facts.

To you maybe, but appreciate that not everyone thinks like you.

I am happy no one gave this jerk a chance. Can you imagine if she would've broken up with him? She would've been dead, her family, her friends plus the current deceased of this horror.

You are right and people have short memory spans. Evil people have been around since the beginning of time, and they were just simply labelled...evil. Now, people want an explanation to why this or that happened. Obsessed with solving a piece of the obvious puzzle. Hell, this dude stated why he was going to kill and people are still trying to gather his nonexistent mental health history because they just can't believe him going on a killing spree was that simple.

I think people want these explanations so they can measure themselves or their loved ones up to these misfits to say, 'hey, see I am TOTALLY opposite of him/her. They have THIS diagnosis, they had THESE characteristics, etc. I am not like that. I would never do such and such.'

Oh most definitely, I TOTALLY agree with you. If this had been a black person, people would've just chalked this up to the assailant being...black.
If he were of the Islamic religion, AUTOMATICALLY, he would've been labeled as a TERRORIST. People would not be wasting their precious time ranting and trying to research the DSM about this these two descriptions. Wouldn't even cross their minds.

There is definitely protection in a certain complexion! Let's not pretend this is not true. I can easily search within this forum to prove what I already know and many will try to dismiss.

Psychiatrists will even admit they can't cure or even really treat psychopath-sociopaths, NPDs, and borderline personalities. That's because these people know what they're doing, they choose to do what they do, they're in control completely, they even know what they're doing is bad or evil but they want to do it anyway. They are most often a type of nihilists. They believe in nothing, they believe in no right or wrong. It's a choice they make to believe in nothing.

I am, too!
I mean wouldn't it be something if the narcissistic/Asperger's/Schizophrenic labels were applied to rap videos?
Rap is terrible (no sarcasm here) and for people to to say and display such terrible acts there HAS to be genetic/mental components behind it, but I only tend to hear them for white males once they've committed heinous crimes. Why is that?

I wonder would it ALL change once more white men (need more Eminems) took it upon themselves to create rap videos.

What do you think?
