With that logic why not get rid of all cops since 2 were ambushed here and here

Turns out these shooters were GOP supporters of Bundy.

Bundy's son: Las Vegas shooters kicked off ranch

Weird, you say it is confusing, but you answered it just like I would. No further reading into it is necessary, or putting words in my mouth, or building strawmen. Your post should've just ended where I cut it off.

Should we take a look at the people who have supported President Obama? Do you think I could find some murderers and thugs there?

Do you realize the 2nd amendment says nothing about individuals having the right to own guns? It talks about the rights for organized militias to bear arms, under the circumstances that were in place back then where we had a fragile government and those militias were necessary to protect ourselves from foreign invaders.
So get it? Sort of like having a little military, where- within the confines of that militia- guns can/should be available.

I don't know why gun supporters don't understand the problem- of course a murderer is going to find a way to kill, but in the example of the mass murderers- if the killer had no access to guns at all, but could only get ahold of a knife- he would not be able to go into say a school and mow down 20 students. Maybe he could stab a couple/few before being taken down, but the ability to kill quickly on a large scale is greatly reduced without a gun. THAT is the issue. Sure there are sick, messed up, evil people all over the world, but these big, mass murders that happen to be shootings happen here in the US far, far more than any other developed country- and more than a good number of developing countries, too. If the tools for MASS destruction were taken away, those sick people could only do harm on a smaller scale.

Now the problem with that is that the toothpaste is already out of the tube, so to speak- banning all guns today wouldn't do much good since there are already so many guns in this country. A ban really should have been put in place a very long time ago, before guns really got into the out of control numbers that they are at.

No you see, according to Gun Rights Logic, I can commit mass murder with my butter knife or my Number 2 Pencil. My Honda Civic also doubles up as a lethal people mower just as effective at killing as flying bullets. You can kill 20 people in a 5 minutes with a kitchen blender, remember?

Oh by the way....as I'm typing this, another active shooter loose in a Portland High School.

Repeat after me gun right denialists......"It's not the guns, It's not the guns, It's not the guns"

And it's happening.

Again.

Right now.

At another high school.

Breaking: Police race to active shooter at Reynolds High School | kgw.com Portland

And three, two, one to the usual feeble bleatings:
*We need more guns in schools to stop this!
*False flag! Obama is behind this!
*Um... well... let's see... freedom, freedom, freedom!
