The government will not be able to control Ebola if it gets into this country. This new strain has a 2-18 day incubation period and will be very hard to spot in the airports since there is no obvious signs that a person is infected. When the fever starts it only takes 3 days to kill. The only way to stop it is to close the airports, the shipping ports and the borders. I don't see this happening with this administration.
I just had my 24 month physical and my doctor informed me that he was in Africa just the week before helping with the Ebola out break. He told me that the situation over there is in panic mode and that there is a large number of health workers catching it.
The UN has said that Ebola is out of control, the Red Cross has pulled out because of the danger. The WHO is declaring it untrackable because there are so many known carriers that have left the hospitals and went back to their tribes to infect every one there.
The latest "known" deaths from Ebola is 888 and this number is known by experts to only be a fraction of the real deaths.
It's already been in the country three times. Luckily for us it hasn't jumped to humans on it's trips over to grand old 'Merica
The second article states that the US doctor's family was in Africa with him, but they are now back in the US.
The disease can take up to 21 days to incubate, is highly contagious, and has a fatality rate of 70% Can you imagine what could happen if it got loose from one of the major airports in NY or LA, for instance?
This is exactly the thing that has concerned me the most for the last several weeks. Typically, Ebola outbreaks occur in relatively remote areas, some distance from international airports. The grim calculus of the disease is such that most people who contract it in remote areas don't live long enough to get outside that isolated area and spread it. But in this outbreak, several of the "hot zones" have international airports in their boundaries. Someone can easily become infected, and 12 to 16 hours later be in New York City, before they're even symptomatic. One flight to Madrid or London, a quick transfer to a transoceanic flight, and here it is.
More news on the outbreak. The thing that troubles me in this article is that it said the doctor was wearing full protective gear. They say the virus is spread by body fluids, but if the universal precautions used to handle bodily fluids that have been successfully used to prevent the spread of aids and hep-b amongst our healthcare workers is not working...?
Some things to consider. Ebola survives in aspecific environment, there is a reason it’s mostly exclusive to Africa; andyou don’t think Africa doesn’t have a high tourist rate already with peopleflying in and out? The Fatality rate of 70% is information based on those whocontracted the virus in Africa not world wide, and the reason it is so high isbecause those who did get it, didn’t get treatment as quickly as needed toprevent death
The media is obviously doing its job in scaring people.

I take everything the media reports as a grain of salt, now. The media is in operation to control the masses and feed B.S information and half truths.
