I saw this just know and thought this should slow the market, but no it is up 77 as I write this.

My guess is that they won't be able to end anything. They're saying that now, but just wait until October. They'll come up with some reason why they have to keep buying bonds.

You also have to remember that QE is just one of the programs we know about.

Yea they've talked about stopping QE for years now. Country is still to fragile at this point.

If the bond purchases have shrunk from 80+ billion a month to 15 billion how much impact do you think it will really have? Also why wouldn't the market see this as a positive long term in that the fed believes the Econ is strong enough to move along without the QE ?

The market has gone up every time they announce less QE. Why would this be any different?
