I have followed Police issues in this country for quite a while now. I predicted a situation like Ferguson happening 2-3 years ago because of tensions.

The battle has already been won as far as exposing the Police state and Police corruption in this country. It is now a national issue. What people wanted in this case was a fair trial. Not a cover up and bogus explanation from the PD like happens in so many towns and cities across this country.
Perhaps there will be a trial........one step at a time.

So very true.

We need independent complaint boards, investigators, and prosecutors. Funding from the Police should be diverted to protecting citizen's rights.

The way the media looks into things today I find that hard to believe.

Can you post a link to a case that you have in mind????

89013 Zip Code

Not really a high crime area where you say you live.

I haven't kept up with the case very closely.

I don't believe eye witnesses because humans are so fallible. Every experience you have had affects your ability to accurately assess what you see. They might be accurate and they might not. It's tricky to figure out from that alone.

I am all for the hard science. The autopsy should tell us everything we need to know. Also, aren't there cameras somewhere that show what happened?

There's already been multiple autopsies performed to my knowledge. We found out how many times he was shot, where he was shot, etc.

He had 4 shots to his right arm and 2 head shots.

There is no video footage of the actual shooting, but there is video footage of the scene right after the incident. You can see officer Wilson pacing back and forth in that footage.

Since when did witness testimony become unreliable? To my knowledge that is up to the judge or jury to decide.

I'm going to do a little research on witness testimony. Here's an article on a ruling about witness testimony.

From my understanding it is accurate identification that is the biggest hangup with eye witness testimony. Not the broad facts of what happened. That argument would not apply here IMO.

There's thousands. Literally. Talk to any public defender or court worker in a city and they'll have stories of corruption. Stories of officer's lying.

Hell, I can use my case as an example. The officer was caught lying under oath by the judge.

Do your own research.

Do you have anything relevant to the case?
