Classless, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. There was a time when you could say her career is toast. But in today's world, she's just as likely to land her own reality show and become a celebrity.

Um, who are these "people" you speak of?

This was... interesting to watch. Makes me wonder what is going on behind the scenes that had her say #$%@ it on air.

Good for her! Life is too short to live it under the thumb and gag of some oppressive employer. I can't imagine how much crap she had to take from the producers forcing their agenda. Day in and day out she probably had to sit through meetings trying to squelch something she is passionate about.

Do what you love and love what you do. If you don't love what you're doing, do something else. She will be fine and my guess is that she will be happier and mentally healthier because of this action.

You go girl!

Ol' girl in the pink has absolutely no idea what to do when not reading the prompter. That's scarier than the canna-lady.

Dumb move. While we've all dreamed of quitting like this and some of us may have done it, this was on broadcast tv and went out over the air uncensored. First, what's she going to do if her pot shop doesn't work out? Even if legalized, the competition will be fierce and sometimes violent. If things don't work out, who's going to want to hire her for tv news after this stunt? Thirdly, she's probably going to receive some hefty DVD fines for that outburst.

The smart and responsible thing to do is give your two weeks notice with a well written letter of resignation about pursuing another career outside of journalism. Keep on good terms with everyone. Announce you're leaving graciously on the air. If and when she opens a pot shop, don't associate the business with your former employer. If things don't work, she can fall back on her journalism career again.

Not that she shouldn't ... that she probably won't. Like it or not, employers don't want to hire someone with a history of being publicly unprofessional.
