If people are really concerned about justice, they might concede that the grand jury hasn't yet completed its work (there's been little or none of that). Due process? In the same way, where are displays of outrage re the poor merchants in the area, who were terrorized? Maybe less to do with equity than selfish partiality.

Just saw the Grand Dragon of the St. Louis KKK on TV who is threatening violence. He said the KKK has already been in consultation with law enforcement and that the objective is to respond forcefully to anything the protesters do. He was quite concerned about the wives of law enforcement getting raped.

As far as law enforcement is concern, they are getting ready for all out war. Looks like the area will be no different than the Gaza Strip.

Quote:
Since the height of the protests, the department has spent almost $25,000 buying 650 teargas grenades, smoke-and-gas grenades, smoke canisters and “hornets nest” CS sting grenades, which shoot out dozens of rubber bullets and a powdered chemical agent upon detonation.

It has spent a further $18,000 on 1,500 “beanbag rounds” and 6,000 pepper balls, paintball-style projectiles that explode with a chemical irritant when they strike a protester. The department uses LiveX branded pepper balls, which are billed as ten times hotter than standard pepper rounds.

LOL

What about their daughters? Any excuse to riot, I suppose.

Mack knife :The thing that matters is why he was shot, how at what distance. Shooting someone who in unarmed and 50 feet away doesn't make sense. Shooting someone who is armed and 50 feet away makes sense.

Lets see, Mike went for the officers gun when the officer was sitting in the vehicle. A struggle ensued. Mike punched the Officer so hard in the face he blew out his orbital socket. Right there that is a felony. Now the Officer basically loses vision in one eye and has no depth perception. The gun was unholstered and a shot was fired grazing Mike in the arm. Mike takes off. (Fleeing felon, look up the laws pertaining to when deadly force can be used) Officer exist vehicle, Mike turns around and begins to come back TOWARDS the officer (witnesses have stated this) Officer tells Mike to stand still or something to that effect (again, witnesses reported this) Mike charges Officer, Officer fires at Mike until he stops advancing.

Officer 100% justified in using deadly force. Case closed.

It's taken an enormous amount of time for them to follow due process to gather evidence so it's not looking good for pressing charges. They may hit him with some misconduct charges that he may lose his badge but he won't go to jail.

Case closed.

I'm not so sure that enormous amount of time you referred to reflects "due process." It sounds more like they're determined to look until they find something.

Im sorry but Im tired of people looking for a payout for bad parenting , and let us face it they were bad parents and they lost control of this child a long time ago and let us not forget this young man had a criminal record a mile long of several very serious crimes . I think now they want the huge payout by destroying a mans career and his life . He and his family will probably no longer be able to live in that part of the country . Please don't hand me the excuse that they raised that child in the ghetto and he was a victim of his environment . I know plenty of young people who are raised in the ghetto and who are well respected citizens of this country so please stop making excuses for bad parenting or victims of their environment .I for one am over people getting a payout for being a bad parent ,and for Gods sake please stop playing the race card .
