This old bag lied to fraudulently get special government contracts earmarked for owners that were disabled veterans. Then she gets a mere 8 month wearing a monitor and 2 years probation and 100k fine. So as you see crime pays. Steal a little get jail time, steal $1.2 million get probation. It's not the color of your skin, it's what ya got in your pocket that counts.
Ya, have to wonder if the judge was paid off. And also why didn't the government folks check to make certain this person was in fact in the military and a disabled vet? There are two systems of justice one for the rich and the other for the average and poor folks. I find this story very repulsive as is the judge that issued this light weight sentence.

She's a moron. It's easy to confirm who was a disabled veteran.
She's not a moron she stole $1.2 million and only was fined 100k. The government people that approved the contract now there's the moron. And the judge, well he probably was bribed.
The government should assign contracts based on who can do the best job at the lowest price, not based on the race, gender, disability, or veteran-status of the owner. This woman cheated an already broken system, honestly her actions aren't anything to get upset about, it's that they were possible in the first place that is the real problem.

I think it's ok to get upset about her defrauding the government and the system that was in place that allowed it to happen.
I'm actually ok with home confinement as long as they get rid of all of the luxuries in her home. She can have basic tv but they strip the home down to essentials and put her stuff in storage (on her dime). I wish they would do this with more non-violent offenders. You get no company (no friends or family), cameras installed at your expense, and a visit from a monitoring official at random times.
I think the headlines don't tell everything. The $1.2mil or other $$ are already frozen, they have to pay additional $100k fine and the home confinement is probably negotiated by the prosecutor and their lawyer to avoid jail sentence.
