Yes, I used some in the shower this morning. My comment referenced the inevitable "but, but" that is sure to rear its head before too long.

It does, but you can't smell them (usually). That's one of the things that makes it soooooo scarrrrry! You never know when you're breathing it in!

Thanks Peachsalsa, I hadn't seen that one in years!

Yeah, well, I remember hearing the same kind of things about microwave ovens in the 1980's.....

There is ionizing radiation, and non-ionizing radiation, the higher frequencies of visible light is where ionizing radiation starts. Ionizing radiation is the dangerous stuff.

Not to worry. It's only a problem if you are wearing your aluminum foil cap (it acts as a conductor).

I suspect the dangers go beyond what has been publicized/acknowledged by the powers that be.

something to think about for sure...
So, if I live down the block from a cell tower, and I put a frozen dinner on my roof, when can I expect it to be done? We'll assume that the directions say to nuke the dinner for 15 minutes at full power.

Not ALL radiation causes cancer, you know. In fact most of it physically does not have the capacity to do so. Only the shortest wavelengths in the spectrum (UV, x-rays to gamma) are considered ionizing (able to cause mutations in living organisms). This cell phone/radio antennae thing is so unbelievably annoying and ignorant.

Heck, I'd be interested to see if it could make the water boil in 2 minutes....or ever. I'd bet it would evaporate first.
