The same thing happened to a Spanish tennis star. Parents squandered her millions and she's nearly broke now (claims to be.)

Ok, when you're a professional athlete doing a grown-up job, (even if you're 16) YOU are responsible for your finances. Hire a lawyer and an accountant and require they be accountable to each other.
