December 1, all Pitt bulls and Rottweilers will be rounded up and euthanized in Moureville, La. This isn't because of any one particular event. They did it because they could.
So they say they passed a ban because a few residents claimed they weren't able to walk around the neighborhood because of loose dogs. Her's a crazy thought how about enact some stricter lease laws with harsher penalties as opposed to going after dogs that aren't causing problems just because a certain breed.
I'd wish the family would dispose of a few city workers should they come try to take and "dispose" of their dog. there's numerous instances of "crazy" people who basically tell the government they'll be a shoot out if you come try to dot aht and typically if they aren't causing any harm to anyone doing whatever it is they are doing the city would rather let them be in peace rather than try to storm their land and cause a shootout. People need to take a stand against an overbearing government. This is ridiculous.
So.. until these dog owners demand that certain tests and qualifications be enacted to discriminate against certain types of people from keeping these dogs...these dogs should be banned. You can't have your cake and eat it too, folks. Either you get off your PC bandwagon and go after the dangerous people who tend to keep these dogs, or your precious dogs go. Sorry folks but that's the way it is. People should not be afraid of walking down the street because these dogs are uncontrolled by their bad owners. Go after the owners by banning certain types pf people from keeping these dogs.
Exactly, how about targeting the family with the loose dogs and tell them they need 1) a fence 2) a containment system 3) liability insurance on the dog 4) register dog and make sure they are up to date on shots.

If you listened to the mayor or police chief or whomever that was talkings reasoning for enacting the ban it had nothing to do with a response to dog attacks or even any problems with pitbulls, the problem was dogs off leash.
Why does the solution have nothing to do with the problem. Enact tougher leash laws, say you'll seize any dog caught off leash or $5,000 fine but he's enacting a ban on one specific breed which was not an issue to combat a problem of dogs being off leash.
Also the the city offial being interviewed has a German Shepard, I personally am much more intimidated by a german shepard than I am a pitbull. Why is his dog okay? If you want to go with the spirit of this law ban any dog over 40 pounds.
