These Islamist throwbacks are on the losing side of history. In the 21st century clinging to some absurd and irrational beliefs from the 7th century desert, they're largely dependant on infidel technology and know-how (their god doesn't seem to have done them much good). When they use a computer designed in Silicon Valley, they lose. When they drive a Japanese pick-up truck, they lose. When they post a video or send an email, they lose. Moribund and reactive - riding the coat tails of those they decry, you might almost feel sorry for them.
^ At any point the people holding the flag to the window looked nothing like IS 'supporters'. (BTW 'supporters' - sounds incongruous - like a f***ing football team).
I actually always knew that the people against the windows were citizens (you could tell). I meant "they" (the hostage takers) made the hostages carry the ISIS flag towards the window. I thought there were more than one perpetrators, hence "they". I was extremely hasty when I posted that comment.

Although I prefer 7 I still believe that all media is the same thing really. I don't see any difference between say, 9 and 7, except the fact that I'm more used to the channel 7 presenters...
ISIS wants to incite a full-scale war on Islam, believing their brand of Islam will ultimately prevail over every other "weaker" religion.
So give them their wish. All the zealots from every organized religion can fight it out. Then when they're all dead, the rest of us can finally live in peace.
