If someone intends to kill someone and doesn't succeed, they don't charge them with murder. KWIM?
She succeeded in the malicious destruction by soiling it with grease and meat, thus requiring someone, ie on site custodial services or an outside contractor be called in to clean up the mess, thus costing in this case taxpayer money.

No offense to any police officers who may be reading this, but the irony in this title is just too damn strong lol.

That's not destruction. Nothing was destroyed, AFAIK.

Funny how people will disrespect the police (who are only human) until they really need one.

Let that woman get mugged or spouse beat her up and who's she gonna call ?
Then she'll complain cause they didn't do more.

FROM ARTICLE:

Her arraignment on charges of malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct at Framingham District Court was postponed until Feb. 9, and a judge placed her under a psychiatric hold at a hospital for a few days after McNamara told the court God instructed her to throw the meat and insisted on representing herself, adding that someone was "out to get" her.

^ Did you overlook this fact on purpose?

She's lucky she lives in MA (as is everyone else reading this) where the "*******s" can get her some actual help for her illness before it escalates into (increased) harm to others. Sounds like it may be a first psychotic break. She is at the age for it and these are symptoms of schizophrenia.

Lets all rejoice in making fun of the mentally ill . . . .

They probably slapped the destruction charge on her so as to have 2 charges, one of which could be bargained out by the defense, and still leave her one to make her go to court on. I think that's why cops so often make superfluous charges.

You're also reading a news article and not the court minutes. Have you ever watched the news talk about medicine or firearms? They don't have a clue. I understand those topics intimately and am astounded. I bet they are just as ignorant on other topics that I'm not savvy enough on to be astounded by. Just food for thought.

Agreed 100%. All signs given point to paranoid schizophrenia.

Also possibly signs of a manic episode, or the use of methamphetamine.
