This isn't the first one I've heard of. There used to be a dog in my Mum's home town, about fifty years ago, and that used to do the same thing. This was before the busses had signs to tell where the bus was going to, so I'm not sure how he knew which bus to get on.

I thought the same thing.......I wish he could go without cigarettes for a day if money is short and go buy Eclipse a new toy...
I posted in the Seattle forum, asking if this is really true, but haven't heard from anyone. Even if the dog was on a leash with its owner, doesn't seem like dogs would be allowed to ride the bus. Very cool and I would enjoy riding next to this dog--but some other dogs (including my neighbor's nipping/biting bichon), not so much!

Animal Planet ran a story a while back about a British Shorthair that would ride the bus from his home to the aquarium.... the staff there loved when he visited.... he just liked looking at the fish.....
Many years ago, I flew my cat from Houston to St. Louis.... I knew she would be nervous, so I had the vet give us some kitty valium and she was just fine once it took effect....
I'm as gullible as the next person, but I really don't think cats can fly. They're not very aerodynamic and I can't imagine that, even spread out, they could provide enough lift to get off the ground, much less carry passengers.
...and a stoned flying cat just sounds very dangerous to boot.
