I think Obama put this horses ass into the job of US Secretary of State as he is the only man in America that can make even Obama look good on the world stage.
This was actually planned before the march occurred. And while they have my sympathies- do we really care about proper cheek kissing. I thought all the conservatives were up in arms when Obama bowed to a foreign leader in a country where that is the custom. So if bowing is our why is cheek kissing a pre-requisite to foreign policy.
This whole brouhaha is becoming exhibit #245 in the list of things I agree with the right on until they take it 5 levels beyond its degree of significance.

^^OMG, yes. It's actually that Kerry goes for a hug that is the big breach, as that is just not something French people do. And it's just brutal to look at the GIFs of Hollande trying to figure out what to do.
I tend to think that the U.S. ambassador is actually the appropriate figure to represent the U.S. government at the rally--that's the sort of thing that ambassadors are for. And I'm glad that Kerry is in France to offer U.S. support (even if his visit was previously scheduled). And I don't think I'll ever tire of the train-wreck of a hug/bisou GIF.

John Kerry is a fine Secretary of State. What a noble act to head to Paris in support of the fight against those lunatics. So proud to have such a dignified and honorable man representing this country over there after the latest terrorist act.
