Reporters live in an alternate reality created by their own imagination. This wasn't always the case. At one time reporters were fighters for the truth. Some were real tough guys. They also knew what news stories were important and choose to not report on politician and celebrities' personal lives. If the reporters of back then were like those of today, all the world would have known about KFK's hookers and mistresses, FDR's mistress and his wife's lady lover, the nature of Ty Cobb, and many many other scandals.
Isn't that the truth.
Now, the lamestream "news" directors "coordinate" the news with the White House every morning.
He's right too, the victimizers are more important than the victims. You can see that everytime there is a lenient plea deal made. Justice for the victims is not a priority. That line is all lip service and lies.
What do we give to the victims and their children that have lost their parents to acts of violence? Nothing much but for the inmates it's another story. How much do you think we spent in 2011 for inmates health care in this country? It cost $7.7 billion to provide health care to U.S. prisoners out of an overall $38.6 billion spent on corrections in 2011, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics. And it's getting more expensive as inmates age. They say the 55 and over inmate population is growing in every state, in Texas it went up 32 percent between 07' and 2011. The common man that needs long term nursing home care has to spend down all they have honestly acquired in life before the government will help, but the prisoners get it for free. How much do you suppose the state of California has invested in 80 year old Charles Manson after all these years? Might as well just burned that money. From 2007 to 2011, Texas prisons have seen a 24 percent increase in health care spending per inmate. A July 2014 study by the Pew Research Center looked at all states and found spending increased by 10 percent. Then advocates are complaining about Teleappointments with mental health professionals. They do that at the VA clinics, but I guess for veterans it's OK and not a big deal. So it's obvious who rates higher on the scale.
Why can't you edit your posts, this is the only forum I know of where you can't.
You can edit for about 90 minutes. After that, someone may have already read and quoted what you wrote. It gets confusing. Best to just quote yourself and clarify what you meant. It's also helpful to use the preview feature and edit before you post. Some devices just make posting cumbersome.
Please register to post and access all features of our very popular forum. It is free and quick. Over $68,000 in prizes has already been given out to active posters on our forum. Additional giveaways are planned.
