It's a perfect example why middle-class families want nothing to do with the thug culture of poverty and try to move as far away from it as possible.

He's probably just a conservative troll with Confederate flag hand towels.

here we have yet another case of a child raised without a father and no respect for authority.
Who gave the teacher the right to take ( steal ) the students cellphone.

Maybe the teacher will think twice before he takes this matter into his own hands again.

Perhaps the only thing that can put a little fear in him is a 2-3 year boot camp, the military or prison. I say end his school days and let the drill sargeants have him.
It's just as likely that he has two parents and that he is coddled by one or both of them.

It's possible...perhaps he rules the house and the parents have never stood up to him.

Well there you have it. Students get their phones taken away all the time. It is just a temporary loss of your phone. I hardly think the teacher was now going to use the phone as his own permanently. He was going to get the phone back, but had to have it NOW. This guy has the Graybar hotel in his future.

Read the other post (Dad posts meddling note sent home by teacher over packed lunch) where people support the father who complain over a note sent home on his daughters lunch. Many say the teacher/school should stop micromanaging their children.

So with that case setting the tone; the heck with this being a minor student, it seems he is exercising his rights. Call the police, arrest him and he can have his rights exercise when he is in court. Heaven forbid we should infringe on his time, maybe he would prefer to just not attend school and hang out all day....

Ever wondered why public community colleges don't have these problems?

It's not because the students are necessarily more mature. It's because they know that they will be dismissed for failing to keep up their grades as well as any anti-social behavior.

Education should only be considered a right for students who want to be educated.
I agree with all, but we need to change #3 to send children to try community service and menial jobs if they decide not to go to school. Make them understand how great working at menial jobs are like.
