Bowe Bergdahl to be charged with desertion, retired officer tells Fox - Washington Times

Quote:
Shaffer, senior fellow at the London Center for Policy Research, told Bill O’Reilly on Monday night that his sources have confirmed the Army has concluded its investigation and Bergdahl’s lawyer has been given a “charge sheet” informing him of the desertion charge
Obama and his cronies are such a bunch of idiots. This was just done for political points. He doesn't deserve to be Commander in Chief, any deaths resulting form the release of those five sand monkey terrorists is on him; and the sad thing is that he's still got 700 more days to **** things up. And what about that Marine in Mexico?

Not just Fox but NBC came out and said the same thing. It's my opinion that the White House is doing its level best to put this off as long as possible. The question is "why"? Are they afraid of what could come out at trial? Could they be afraid that the public will see the trade as the bone headed, close Gitmo by removing prisoners at all costs decision it was?

As for those who believe the Pentagon spokesman just remember, he works for and is told what to say just as the State Department mouthpiece who stated "Bowe Bergdahl served with merit and distinction" when the stories of desertion first came up.

What a shock. I remember all the naysayers calling people who dared to bring this up all sorts of insults. Might have to dig that thread up. Glad to see there will be some semblance of justice, esp. for his fellow soldiers who lost their lives searching for his sorry backside. Yes, I know we do not leave a man behind. But that does not make his actions any less despicable.

But but, how does a person who 'served with honor and distinction' get charged with desertion?

He was considered innocent before proven guilty. If he's found guilty of misbehavior before the enemy, he could get a dishonorable discharge.

This is not really a surprise to anyone besides the press corps, is it?
