It was a good game especially the 2nd half. The half time show was horrible. Most of the commercials were very lame.

I, for one, enjoyed listening to Katy Perry's legs.

Roughly 9 out of 16 games have come down to the game being decided in the last minute or so.

Prior to that.. Only 8 of 33 games had a final score within a touchdown.

And.. Just a side-note.. Pats tied the largest comeback in Super Bowl history.. 10 whole points. And they're the only team that didn't fall behind 10-0 in the comeback.

And 49 games.. no overtime. On average, there's 1 OT game a week in the NFL.. so, statistically.. There should have been about 3 Super Bowls go to OT by now. Which, everyone thinks would be great, but.. OT being what it is.. Probably wouldn't be as good as you think. Super Bowl should have college OT rules.. Probably, the entire NFL should.
Overtime in playoffs is a novel thing. In hockey, even off it isn't have seven or an elimination, overtime is an even even though you are bound to have a last one per round. The first Super Bowl going to overtime would be novel and exciting but unlike hockey, I imagine the law of diminishing returns would come into play.

Overtime in football should be like a shoot out in hockey. Offense chooses one guy, defense chooses one guy. He starts running towards the goal line and defender has to try and stop him.

It's five minutes of four on four play for five minutes during regular season games and THEN the shootout. In playoffs it is sudden death. The shootout I don't think works in football. The closest is the college football overtime or first possession where the defense gets a chance if a field goal is scored.

I am not a football fan. I did watch this game and, for the information of the OP, found it very entertaining. Oh, does the woman in the halftime show sing? I had the TV on mute.

I thought the Super Bowl was great entertainment but then again any game that the Patriots play is very entertaining. I have been a fan since the pre Brady days and they have always had me on the edge of my seat biting my nails down to the nubs. This game I wore mittens and now I need new mittens.

I found the whole Superbowl show to be terrific.
