Your freedom to be stupid ends where public health begins. You don't have the legal right to crap into a public water supply, regardless of whether or not you think it's important, or a type of protected freedom of expression. You can rightly be forced by authorities to stop doing it.
Perhaps a better example than measles would be polio, since polio used to be common and killed/permanently disabled so many people back in the day. Many kids were put into iron lungs to help them breathe. Many ended up permanently on crutches or in wheelchairs - including a president. It wasn't just hype, I knew several that had been permanently crippled by it.
If polio made a big comeback due to too many people thinking they know all about it from an anti-vax site, thinking they know more about it than the experts who have studied it all their adult lives ...... then it would certainly have to become mandatory. A little bit of knowledge would become a dangerous thing to all the rest of society, even more so than with MMR vaccine.
But apparently you didn't because neither of those links states that Vitamin A is a substitute for getting vaccinated.
In fact, both of those links say to get vaccinated. Vitamins are not a substitute.
Maybe you should read more. They did not say that measles supplementation is a substitute but they did say that it helps to avoid complications. If you are vaccinated and still so scared of the tiny subset of the population who does not vaccinate, maybe you could think about how to better protect yourself with things like Vitamin A supplementation if you do catch it instead of complaining and pointing your collective finger at the small group of people who do not vaccinate. Take care of yourself first. Don't be such victims and such control freaks.

Or you can vaccinate, not get measles, and not have to worry about vitamin A beyond the requirements of good nutrition.
The small group who do not vaccinate are fueling measles outbreaks in which children of parents who would have vaccinated them if they had been old enough are being harmed.
Your freedom to choose not to vaccinate should not preempt the decision of another parent to vaccinate.
You can choose to not vaccinate but you must accept the consequences. Your freedom does not include putting others who are unable to protect themselves at risk. Similar to the reasons smoking in public facilities is no longer tolerated either. Public schools should be safe to attend.
Automobiles result in the death of c. 30,000 Americans every year. The pollutants caused by the operation of automobiles cause significant environmental damage and contribute to the deaths of tens of thousands more people every year. Then there are the deaths of people who work(ed) in the automotive industry and petroleum industry. Some people might factor in the millions of people killed in securing access to foreign oil and gas. There is no doubt about the death toll that results from the vaunted automobile. I'm sure you consider the ownership and operation of a car as an inherent right and would consider it a violation of your rights and freedoms if they were banned outright.

The nonsense that it's OK to skip vaccinations for kids because we have vitamins is just that, nonsense. It's pseudo science cooked up by hysterical housewives on facebook with too much time on their hands.

And those who suffer loss directly attributable to preventable incidents (DUI or malfunctioning equipment that was or should have been known) are able to sue those who were responsible. You ok with that when it comes to vaccines? Your un vaccinated self causes an outbreak in which infants too young to be vaccinated die you are liable?
