"I'm not gonna do nothing to put my daughter at risk, but I am here to fight for creativity. That's the reason why I didn't say anything tonight, but you all know what it meant when Ye walked out on that stage!"
What was he even going on about? He didn't say anything on stage because it would put his daughter at risk? Did he think Beck was going to seek revenge on him by harming a toddler?
They probably knew about it before hand. Free publicity is great for the brand and record sales etc.
The first time, Kanye was just drunk and\or high, now it's just a stunt.
Judging by the gif above, they didn't know about it. JayZ looked horrified at first. He was thinking "oh no, not this n*gga again" and then saw that he was joking around.

Lol, like anyone cares about an irrelevant rapper, his fat porn star wife or their fugly kid.
Kanye only attacks white artists who win awards. If a white artist went up to a black performer and said they should give it away to a white performer there would be all sorts of outrage.
He does all his own work writing, composing, playing instruments, and producing. Beyonce needs a whole group of people to do the same thing for her. I like some of her music but she could not do it all on her own the way Beck does.
The problem is that Kanye just doesn't like Beck's type of music, and he's selfish enough to expect that must mean NOBODY should like his music.
I just don't understand why anyone, anywhere, has ever cared about who Kanye West is or what he does.
But then again I can't comprehend why anyone would care about the grammy's to beigin with. It's one long, giant marketing exercise. All these major awards shows are. They are 4 (televised) hours of major studio executives telling you why you should buy their truly awful, excessively profitable interpretation of what they are selling as "art".
I wonder if Beck and Kanye are on the same record label. Maybe the whole thing was to increase Beck's record sales. If that was his intention, I bet it worked.

I haven't watched an awards show in years, but mainly because I'm just not that interested and all the highlights are shown to us the next day.
