Yes, those who hunt, aside from some physical inadequacies, also seem to demonstrate certain lack if intellectual firepower. Maybe that is what's inadequate about these blood lust hunters....

Any more Grand Canyon or other unusual, i.e. out of normal range wolf sightings?
They're seeing them in Northern Illinois where I grew up now. At least 50+ miles south of the Wisconsin border. Also seeing cougar fyi. I would HIGHLY suspect it goes further south than that. This is based upon actual shootings, sightings from people I know that know what they are seeing as well as DNR trapping etc. etc. etc.
Sad to look back at some of the posts in this thread where someone condemns both culture and necessity from the safety of their grocery store and suburbia. All while calling everyone else stupid for not being and living exactly like they are.
The problem there is that most people have never walked even a few steps in someone else's shoes, let a lone a mile.
P.S. Also numerous Cougar around the Kansas City area. I personally saw one about 4 miles west of downtown KC and there are a bunch of other sightings if you google.

I am all for predator recovery. I sure hope these are not liberated pets for a bunch of reasons:
Former pets have no fear of man;
Former pets regard homes as a food source; and
Former pets don't have the social or hunting skills to survive in the wild, and tend to become dangerous.
I've met many I'M A HUNTER, THAT MEANS I'M A STEWARD OF THE LAND! type who was also a WE MUST ERADICATE [insert SPECIES here] THROUGH ILLEGAL POACHING! type.
I agree. I also believe that predators should never lose their fear of man. We should allow wolf populations to restore. Wolves and coyotes, though, are not another breed of dog. Their fear of man should be reinforced, over and over again. Ditto mountain lions and bears.
I believe that wolf and coyote killing should be limited; just enough to instill fear of man in these animals.
