A mother had an encounter with another driver who had earlier stopped his car in front of hers, got out and approached her with angry words. After this encounter, 44-year-old Tammy Meyers drove home, had her teenage daughter run in the house to fetch her armed son, who then went with her as she drove to find the driver. They apparently found him and the mother was fatally shot.

Tammy Meyers' family insist they were RIGHT to go hunting for road rage shooting suspect | Daily Mail Online

Hindsight is what it is, but they could have just as easily been the perpetrators and not the victim.

I don't think they were right, but I don't think they did anything illegal.

No, absolutely not.

They were wrong, and I can't imagine what kind of mother would put her own son in danger just so, what, she could yell at the other driver?

It seems she had something else in mind if she brought a gun to the argument.

Geez, just go home, relax, and have a beer, for gods sake.

It was a terrible idea to go after him and I do not have much sympathy for her. I don't see how any intelligent human could think this would have ended well.

When a person goes looking for trouble, they often find it.

A 44-year-old SHOULD know better.

Why escalate it?

In road rage incidents, it's better to be apologetic, even over apologetic to avoid it escalating. (someone has to) This is something I have to practice as it doesn't come naturally at all.

It also works in a marriage.
