St. Charles Catholic receiver Brady Becker was involved in an altercation with police Friday night at Lakeside Mall in Metairie, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune confirmed Wednesday morning.

Video surfaced of the 17-year old being struck several times in the face by an undercover policeman, who subsequently arrested the teen on charges of possession of alcohol by a minor, battery of a police officer, resisting arrest and inciting a riot.

Becker suffered a laceration above his eye during the incident and was treated at a local hospital before being booked into Jefferson Parish Correctional Facility. Multiple St. Charles Catholic administrators declined to comment on the incident Wednesday morning and the Archdiocese of New Orleans has not yet returned a request for comment.

Becker was one of the Comets’ leading receivers as a junior in a run-based offense for St. Charles last season. He had the winning touchdown for the Comets in a Week 7 victory over De La Salle and helped the team to 9-3 record and an appearance in the Division II semi-finals.

Video of the incident can be seen below (Warning: offensive language):

Kid shouldn't have been drinking. I'm sure he probably smokes weed as well. Should do a background check on him. Gotta see if he ever got detention or cleaning duty at school. Thugs like Becker epitomize everything that's wrong with kids these days.

Why is this so called athlete drinking anyways, he should practicing to improve his game or his studies.
I have friends who have seen so many underage white youth ruined by the alcohol-weed combo
That it is no wonder the divorce rate for whites is over 60%

The officer made the right call, this young thug felon was probably drunk and high and therefore a danger to others around him, putting him down was the right thing to do.

My Louisiana friends tell me that Mardi Gras is the best time of the year to avoid New Orleans.

Unless there's a hurricane, of course.

He deserved it because he was thug according to you, but there's nothing backing up your assertion that he's a thug. Plus you don't even know nothing about the kid other than playing football and being high when he was beaten. If you think that smoking weed and drinking liquor makes one a thug, at least 100 million Americans are thugs.
