Religion, like race, ethnicity and language, are only problems when you politicise them.

I’m sure the leftish urban hipsters in Norway were smiling so much about this they celebrated with a craft beer, but they seem to forget that even evil can perform a public relations stunt.

It's hard to come to terms with the religion that actually calls for its followers to do what the "radical" islamists are doing. They could be called "Orthodox" followers of their religion. It is no wonder that the moderate islamists do not speak out about what their religion tells them they should be doing.

So you're saying white people routinely behead and burn people alive? They stone women to death, chop off body parts for minor offenses, treat women as property etc, etc, etc? Is that how you see the "white" world? Yep, we're so racist that a person of color can't rise up to a position of power.

This action by this muslim group is a good step in the right direction.
You are right, the (silent) majority of Muslims are peaceful. The problem is just because the ones who are not peaceful are referred to as a "minority" does NOT make it a small amount of people who want to see every non-Muslim dead or converted.

You can assume what you want. They probably have enough problems wondering if they are going to get burned/ decapitated by ISIS or bombed by the USA.
Don't you think there's been people protesting? Why apologize for Afghanistan? Oh that's right, everything is ALWAYS the U.S.'s fault.

At this point how do you know they are not?

See the previous 450 years of history. And before you pull the "it was all in the past" card, remember that events such as the Holocaust, colonialsm, Apartheid and the civil rights movement are ALL still in living memory.

Just because some White people committed those crimes doesn't mean that all White people endorsed them, and just because some Muslims are acting a fool and joining ISIL doesn't mean that most Muslims endorse their behaviour. If anything the overwhelming majority of the victims of Islamic extremism have been OTHER MUSLIMS, not Christians, Jews or Westerners. So if anyone were to have the biggest problem with Islamic fundamentalism, it would be Muslims themselves since they bear the brunt of the consequences of it, not just from the terrorists but from the West as well.

See comment above. Just because most Whites aren't donning hoods and burning crosses does NOT make it a small amount of people who want to see every person of colour dead, deported or assimilated. Imagine that logic being used to evaluate your worthiness as a human being, and get back to me on how that feels.

...and how long did it take for that to happen? at the start of the war, if you were against the war you were labelled a traitor. It wasn't for years that people began to realise that the whole thing was a hoax, and only then did anyone protest.

Have you ever read the Old Testament? Much of it is an account of how the Jews, with the help of God, committed genocide against other neighbouring ethnic groups in order to occupy present-day Israel. Most of Leviticus is a penal code for punishing non-believers, and the most frequent punishment recommended is execution. You could call an Israeli suicide bomber an Orthodox follower of Judaism just as well.
