Posted by Michael Hill, President of the League of the South:

Quote:
This 14th of April will mark the 150th anniversary of John Wilkes Booth’s execution of the tyrant Abraham Lincoln. The League will, in some form or fashion, celebrate this event. We remember Booth’s diary entry: “Our country owed all her troubles to him, and God simply made me the instrument of his punishment.” A century and a half after the fact, The League of the South thanks Mr. Booth for his service to the South and to humanity.

Ok, an obscure fringe group no one has heard of is celebrating this. There are wackos everywhere.

OMG! Some people need to move on with their lives, but first they must shed the heavy burden of hatred that's pinning them down. Nobody in his right mind longs for the return of slavery and "the old south".

The group has a Wikipedia page and a 20 year history. It has been a documented hate group for most of that time. So it is not that obscure.

No, they are not supposed to forget about it. The League of the South wants to work with them to reintegrate them back into slavery in a new independent Southern republic.

I live in the South and I have never heard of the League of the South. And to the ignorant "it is not par for the course." Get some education.

I think they were being sarcastic.

But yeah, blacks are supposed to forget slavery, but Civil War re-enactments, hate groups celebrating certain aspects around that time, etc., well, they have a green light to keep doing what they're doing.
