Showers are overrated. It's one of getting my co-workers to leave me alone.

Yep me too. No different than brushing my teeth. I brush my teeth and shower (including washing hair) every day. Don't feel right till I'm all clean, then I can proceed with my day!

Well, in all fairness during Winter Blizzard season some of it may have to do with pipes being frozen or burst so that their water supply doesn't work all that well. It happens to washing machines, too, by the way.

What's the fascination with showering/bathing on these forums?? Jeez, this is like the 3rd thread dedicated to this subject.

I think it depends on my climate and activity level for how often I shower.

When I lived in NYC, I showered a lot more regularly. There is just so much pollution and humidity in the air and grime on every exterior surface. I also do a ton of walking in NY. I just felt dirty, so I showered daily.

When I'm at my parents' house in CT, I shower less often because the air is clean and I'm usually not walking as much. If I workout, then I shower on that day. Which usually means I end up showering about 4x a week there.

Now I'm living in Los Angeles. The air here is dry and I don't feel like it's as dirty as NY, at least in the area I'm living and spend most of my time in. So I tend to shower about as much as I did in CT... About 4x a week on average, but absolutely any day that I workout, I shower.

I think it's a personal preference. My love interests of the past have loved my natural smell. It turns them on. The same thing for me. I like when a guy hasn't showered for a day or two sometimes. But then again, none of the guys I've been with have ever been smelly!

Mine is exactly the same. I asked my husband the other day if my hair looked "dirty." He looked at me with a perplexed expression and said, "No, it never does, actually." I informed him that because of the extremely frigid weather we're having in Wisconsin and the inordinately long time my hair takes to dry, I skipped washing it for two days. Even if I use a blow dryer, my hair is still damp for hours afterward. I'm sure you know what I mean! I get tired of walking outside and having icicles hanging from my head.

Don't feel sorry for him......you're definitely in the minority. Dirty privates are in no way fun or exciting (unless your a freak into that fetish). BTW.....I don't think oral sex was a mainstream practice for over the 99,500 years of the 100,000 you reference.

Shouldn't women (and men for that matter) at LEAST wash several critical body parts every day? Privates, underboob, butt crack...
From a male standpoint, I cannot imagine going a day without washing my privates (wtf????).
